What do you do when your child is not feeling well with fever , running nose and cough ? These are trouble times when you need lots of patience . Adam had fever for the past 2 days with flu and we are not sure where he got it from . Probably from Tasha who had it from school . Virus spreads very fast among children especially from school .
With high temperature of 38-39 Celsius , it’s important to take off their clothes and just wear diapers on . Wet cold towels on their body to bring down the temperature . I usually put on those koolfever patch on their body throughout the night .
They will have difficulty in sleeping because of their blocked nose . Hydrate them a lot during these times . Normally I would wait for 3 days before applying any form of medicine . It should recover by themselves as I try to avoid any forms of drugs into their tiny bodies . Lookout for any rashes or spots . Measles or chickenpox rashes will come out 5 days after a high bout of fever . Parents need to have lots of patience during these times and try separate them from other siblings except for Mummies to continue breastfeeding them .
Alhamdulillah after 3 days Adam is back to normal now smiling and playful as usual .
